Rusty Carbaugh, Principal & Director of Strategy
Rusty is a veteran to marketing communications, public relations and consumer insights. Before creating Invigor8, Rusty worked as a consultant out of the Baltimore and Washington, D.C. region and continued in that role after moving to Nashville two years ago. His professional experience includes human resources, marketing communications and development work across the country for Fortune 500 companies such as Bayer, Chase Manhattan Bank and Eckerd Drugs, as well as non-profits such as the Coalition to End Childhood Lead Poisoning, Live Baltimore Home Center, East Academy and Mending Hearts of Nashville. Rusty also played an active fundraising and communications role in the campaigns of U.S. Sen. Ben Cardin (D-Md.), Maryland State Senator Catherine E. Pugh of Baltimore, and several additional local and regional campaigns in Maryland and the District of Columbia.
Rusty currently serves on the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee’s Brooks Fund Advisory Board, the United Way of Metropolitan Nashville’s NWBA Steering Committee, Treasurer of the Music City Softball League and is an active leader in the Human Rights Campaign. Rusty, who is strongly committed to the community, has a long history of community involvement and encourages small business to be as engaged in community as they are in business. Rusty has traveled all over the country working with businesses and organizations and looks forward to the challenges facing small- and medium-sized business owners in Nashville and Middle Tennessee.
